The homepage of CNN.com decided to run an op/ed from Alice Stewart, the former communications director for ‘Lyin’ Ted Cruz. As you may remember, ‘Lyin’ Ted Cruz is a nickname that popular vote loser and aspiring dictator Donald Трамп gave the Senator. Stewart’s op/ed focused on testimony given by former FBI Director James Comey to the Senate Intelligence Committee in open session.
Stewart goes on to say that Comey was a credible witness, also noted that yes, Comey told Трамп that he was not being personally investigated over ‘salacious’ details from a memo released about him (i.e., Трамп was not being investigated for things he paid people to do in a hotel room in Russia to a bed that the Obama’s once slept in), but that ultimately, he didn’t do anything wrong.
Stewart apparently missed this exchange with Senator Angus King during the testimony, regarding the President’s request that Comey stop the investigation into connections between General Michael Flynn and Russia.
King: In his press conference May 18th, the president responded, quote, “No, no,” when asked about asking you to stop the investigation into general Flynn. Is that an accurate statement?
Comey: I don’t believe it is.
Somehow, many Republicans, Conservatives and CNN missed this part of the debate. In other words, Flynn said that President Трамп impeded an investigation into a national security issue, which is the connection between Michael Flynn and Russia.
CNN’s New Motto: Hey, it’s 2017, we still miss the important details! What about her emails, am I right?
In related news, CNN correspondent Alice Stewart was seen huffing gasoline fumes in the ladies room at CNN shortly after her op/ed piece was published.
The United Kingdom is in political turmoil after Prime Minister Theresa May lost the majority in Parliament, forcing her to ally with a small group of extremely conservative lawmakers to retain her position. May called the General Election as a way to grow her majority, to give her better bargaining power with the European Union as Brexit talks begin in 10 days.
Instead, her position in those talks is weakened, as no one is certain what kind of negative effect her blundering will have on the complex talks with the EU.
Reports say that Brits were envious of the political chaos the United States is experiencing, and are hopeful this new mess will help them feel as anxious as their friends across the pond.
Speaking of Russian security concerns, did you hear what happened to Britney Spears? The comments section of her Instagram account was used to by bots to communicate with malware infected computers.
This is how it works. Bot A infects a computer with malware that steals personal information. Bot B leaves a comment of praise on the famous social media account, then leaves a coded message indicating where to send stolen information. The malware infected computer then scans the comment section of that famous social media account, then uses the coded message to determine where to send the information. The whole operation is completely automated.
So, just FYI, now the Russian bots are taking our hacking jobs! Is nothing safe from automation?
Anyway, when asked for a comment on its activities, the bot reportedly said, “bleep blorp bleep bleep,” then stole the reporter’s credit card.
The reporter will be replaced with a new automated content writer sometime next week.
You know that scene in Aliens, where Ripley is explaining to executives at Weyland-Yutani what happened to the Nostromo? She tells them about the derelict ship, the eggs, the Alien, and how it killed everyone. The executives have trouble following the story, and then Ripley just looks at them and says, “Did IQs just drop sharply while I was away?”
That’s what keeps rolling through my head as I read the news today. The part that everyone seems to want to ignore about Comey’s testimony is that he confirmed that there was obstruction of justice; the President wanted Comey to stop investigating Michael Flynn, then fired Comey when he wouldn’t.
It doesn’t matter what you intend, it matters what you do, when it comes to obstruction of justice. It’s like speeding. Just because you didn’t mean to speed, if you were speeding, you were speeding.
Anyway, when it comes to CNN especially this morning, it looks like yes, indeed, IQs did drop sharply.
Have you done your part today? If not, take a moment to decide what to do, how you can help, and pitch in! Maybe pitching in for you means telling me I’m dumb, go for it! Whatever it is, make your time count!
