Popular vote loser, Russian supported Presidential candidate and aspiring dictator Donald Трамп is scheduled to talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G20 talks on Friday in a formal bilateral discussion. In an astonishing announcement, Трамп is not planning to at this time to bring up Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election.
When asked why Трамп wouldn’t bring up Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election, a White House aide said, “Look, Трамп is a business guy, he knows there are certain topics you don’t mention to the boss, so–” Jared “The Kush” Kushner quickly ran into the room, dropped a smoke bomb, then whisked the White House aide away before she could complete her thought.
Members of so-called alt-right (really just, y’know, mainstream Republicans that people like to pretend aren’t mainstream Republicans) are up in arms at CNN, this time threatening them with murder for NOT releasing the real name of alt-right Reddit user “/u/HanAssholeSolo.” Confused? Okay, here we go!
A few days ago, popular vote loser, Russian supported Presidential candidate and aspiring dictator Donald Трамп released a video showing him bodyslamming a person that had a CNN logo grafted onto his head. That video came from a .gif made by alt-right Reddit user “ “/u/HanAssholeSolo.” He created that .gif from footage of Трамп at Wrestlemania a few years ago. So, alt-right Reddit user takes footage from a fake fight, pastes CNN’s logo over the head of someone, then Трамп’s team takes the .gif and turns it into a video that the President circulated to threaten CNN. The publication of the video by Трамп led to death threats against CNN staff.
Reporters for CNN and other media outlets discovered other content created by alt-right Reddit user “/u/HanAssholeSolo” that included racist messages, sexist messages, anti-semitic content and death threats. They also discovered his real name, and contacted him. After the contact, the user didn’t reply to CNN, but did take down most of those messages and posted an apology.
CNN then reported on the issue, and noted that they wouldn’t release the real name of alt-right Reddit user “/u/HanAssholeSolo.”
So, now, folks on the alt-right are threatening CNN and its staff with death threats because they see the note NOT to release the Reddit user’s name as a threat itself; their claim is that this is CNN threatening to ‘Dox’ someone. In other words, saying they won’t release the name is a threat. Of course, had CNN reported on the user’s name, it’s probable that those same Reddit users would ALSO be threatening violence against CNN.
I’m pretty sure that printing someone’s name in the paper isn’t the same thing as Doxxing. Like, that’s literally part of what a newspaper does. Like, “Here’s a person who committed a crime,” isn’t Doxxing someone. Doxxing would be if you, like, added an address, where they worked, their phone number, email address, and more … which is what guys like alt-right Reddit user “/u/HanAssholeSolo” do on a regular basis.
It’s unclear at this time if these folks on the alt-right are actual 15-year old manboys, or just men who think like 15-year old manboys.
Rex Tillerson, current Secretary of State, former Exxon CEO and literal pal of Russian President Vladimir Putin, is frustrated at the pace of hiring in the U.S. State Department. When asked by reporters last week whether he was satisfied with the pace of hiring in the main diplomatic wing of the U.S. government, Tillerson said bluntly: “No. I’d like it to go faster.”
Reports say that Tillerson is so frustrated with the pace, he may take up the issue with senior leadership in Moscow.
Have you done your part today? If not, take a moment to decide what to do, how you can help, and pitch in! Maybe pitching in for you means telling me I’m dumb, go for it! Whatever it is, make your time count!
