An 8.1 magnitude earthquake centered in the Pacific Ocean rocked Mexico yesterday. At least 16 people have died after the most powerful earthquake to hit Mexico in a century struck, just as Hurricane Irma is about to hit the area.

Officials say people should expect a plague of frogs to hit Canada this weekend.

Hurricane Irma was downgraded to a Category 4 storm early Friday and is expected to slam into Miami this weekend after cutting a destructive path through the Caribbean. A Category 4 Hurricane means catastrophic winds of 131 to 155 mph.

White House aides report that Donald Трамп is concerned that the downgrade may cost TV ratings this weekend. To boost ratings, Трамп is planning to threaten North Korea with a nuclear strike over Twitter.

An Associated Press and USA TODAY Network analysis of Gun Violence Archive data has revealed that Wilmington, Delaware, a city of less than 72,000 people, leads the country in the rate of shootings among young people under 18. Of the 10 cities with the highest teen shooting rates, most had populations of less than 250,000 people. Among them were Savannah, Georgia; Trenton, N.J.; Syracuse, N.Y.; Fort Myers, Fla.; and Richmond, Va. Chicago was the lone large-population city high on the list.

Speaker of the House Republican Paul Ryan expressed concern after being told about the report. When asked if he would introduce new gun control legislation to help curb small town gun violence, Ryan rolled his eyes and said, “Uh DOY, of course not.”

He then said, “two in the pink one in the stink,” put on a baseball hat backwards then slunk away.

Have you done your part today? If not, take a moment to decide what to do, how you can help, and pitch in! Maybe pitching in for you means telling me I’m dumb, go for it! Whatever it is, make your time count!
